Businessman in Vladikavkaz suspected of landfill fraud
The Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for North Ossetia reported that in Vladikavkaz a businessman is suspected of fraud with a landfill.
It is reported that the said person committed a scam involving the execution of a government contract for the reclamation of an unauthorized landfill.
In their official Telegram channel, investigators indicate: “The incident was recorded in the city of Ardon.”
The total damage from the actions of the accused amounted to over 10 million 420 thousand Russian rubles.
Case details
The police emphasize: “The defendant is accused of committing a crime under Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of Russia.”
The suspect, in particular, is the general director of a commercial organization.
As the investigation indicates, in March 2023, an agreement was concluded between the defendant and the Ministry of Natural Resources of North Ossetia.
Subsequently, the accused provided knowingly false information about the progress of work on the restructuring of the landfill, thereby causing serious material damage to the region.
