A patent attorney from the company "Online Patent" commented on Vladislav Bakalchuk's intention to register his own trademark.
We are talking about the name “VB”, to which the ex-husband of the founder of the Wildberries company wants to obtain exclusive rights.
As Alina Sidorova emphasized in a comment to the RIA Novosti agency, Rospatent will most likely refuse to register this trademark.
It is noted that Tatyana Bakalchuk's ex-husband filed documents with the department on Tuesday. It is noted that the co-founder of Wildberries thus intends to preserve the fact that he was at the origins of the brand.
According to him, the Wildberries brand was named after Bakalchuk’s initials.
At the same time, the company denies Bakalchuk’s statement, claiming that his initials have nothing to do with Wildberries.
Because the brand mentioned above is often abbreviated as “VB,” there is a risk that Bakalchuk’s claim will interfere with the company’s rights.
Therefore, the risk of being rejected for him increases significantly.
