Authorities to restrict entry to Kurchatov, where the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant is located

A city in the Kursk region is introducing new rules.

They will come into effect in the near future, the acting head of the region, Alexey Smirnov, reports on his Telegram channel.

The authorities will restrict entry to Kurchatov. Free entry will be reserved only for city residents who have registration here.

As for those working in Kurchatov but registered in other settlements, they will be provided with special passes.

Checkpoints will appear at the entrances to the city. Law enforcement officers and local administration employees will be on duty there.

They will make decisions on allowing citizens into the city and resolve other issues that arise in this situation.

However, the administration representatives will not be at the checkpoints around the clock, but from seven in the morning until five in the evening.
