In Turkey, they started talking about the possible cancellation of the “all inclusive” system in hotels and motels that is familiar to Russians.
The Russian ambassador to Turkey explained why such a measure should not be resorted to.
The diplomat expressed his opinion in a comment to the RIA Novosti agency.
It is noted that earlier the President of the Association of Small Hoteliers of Turkey Ertan Ustaoglu doubted the relevance of this complex of services.
He motivated this by the fact that many tourists do not leave their hotels, which has a negative impact on both their health and the development of domestic tourism in Turkey, since people have no desire to go and see the sights.
Alexey Erkhov noted that tourists are used to eating in hotels. And if another system is introduced, for example, a la carte, this will inevitably entail additional costs.
And if you have to pay extra for food, tourists will inevitably demand a reduction in the cost of accommodation. And this, in turn, does not exclude that many may eventually cancel their trips.
For reference
"All inclusive" is a set of services that includes free provision of food, drinks (often local) and other types of services along with your stay at the hotel.
