A woman with a baby carriage was not allowed into the Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ in Chelyabinsk.

A local resident reported this on the social network VKontakte .

According to him, the temple staff stated that it was forbidden to enter with a stroller so as not to dirty the floor, RIA Novosti reports.

There they advised taking the child in one's arms when entering the church so as not to disturb other parishioners during prayer.

The temple is considered a house of God and a shrine, where it is not customary to talk or communicate on the phone.

The diocese’s statement emphasizes: “A church is not a store, a museum, or a clinic.”

Walking there on scooters, bicycles or with baby carriages will interfere with prayer and parishioners.

They explained that there is no direct ban on visiting the temple with a stroller.

However, the diocese asked to take care of the well-being of those nearby.

When visiting a temple, it is recommended to take your child in your arms.
