Raisa Ryazanova commented on the news that a remake of the Soviet film hit will soon appear in Russia.

The star of Vladimir Menshov's film criticized plans to create a series based on the film "Moscow Does Not Believe in Tears."

In a conversation with NEWS.ru, the actress shared that she generally has a negative attitude towards re-shooting films that have gained national fame.

Ryazanova relies on the failed experience of those who have already tried to remake Soviet classics.

The actress cited the film "The Irony of Fate, or Enjoy Your Bath!" as an example. The remake lost to the original in every sense, the actress believes.

The attempt to remake Menshov's hit film will be the same story, Ryazanova believes. She hopes that the project will not make it to the screen.

"This is a crime against the audience. How can they not understand this, not even the director, but those who allow it?" the People's Artist of Russia expressed her opinion.

Director Zhora Kryzhovnikov, who shot the series "The Boy's Word," will take on the creation of the project based on the Soviet film hit. He will also act as a producer and screenwriter.
