Sergey Mazaev was scheduled to perform on Thursday, July 4, in Svetlogorsk, Kaliningrad Region.
The singer was hospitalized right before a concert at the Yantar Hall variety theater, TASS writes, citing the organizer of the performance.
He confirmed that Mazaev is currently in hospital. The concert will be rescheduled for another date.
Some media outlets reported that the artist was not just hospitalized, but placed in intensive care. The organizer could not confirm this information.
Mazaev suddenly felt ill before the concert. The reason why the honored artist of Russia was hospitalized has not yet been revealed.
In 2018, Mazaev admitted that after a long break, he began taking prohibited substances again.
