The long-standing and permanent host of KVN, Alexander Maslyakov, passed away today, September 8.
At the time of his death, the television personality was 82 years old.
The official KVN website reported the host's untimely death.
The obituary reads: "It is with deep regret that we announce the death of Alexander Vasilyevich Maslyakov. This is an irreparable loss."
As the TV show points out, the deceased was and will remain a legend for all participants of the show, as well as for the multi-million audience.
Alexander Maslyakov first became the host of the TV program “Club of the Funny and Inventive” (abbreviated KVN) in 1964.
For his creative merits and achievements, the television personality received numerous awards.
Thus, in particular, A. V. Maslyakov was awarded the Order of Merit for the Fatherland. He is also recognized as the founder of the creative association "AMiK".
As the obituary reports, the deceased, for his part, made a significant contribution to the development of domestic entertainment television.
