"I've been planning to for a long time": Gazmanov spoke about retiring
The 73-year-old singer admitted that he has long been planning to end his career and retire.
Oleg Gazmanov shared in a conversation with journalists that he wanted to leave the stage at 70 years old.
The People's Artist of Russia said that he first postponed his retirement date during the COVID-19 pandemic, 7Dney reports.
Then the performer wanted to work some more to support his musicians and the rest of the creative team.
While some artists fired their musicians or simply did not pay them, Gazmanov not only kept the team together, but also did not offend anyone financially.
But even after the pandemic, the retirement dates had to be postponed. During the SVO, Gazmanov was among the artists whose demand became even higher.
Therefore, the patriotic singer does not yet know when he will announce his retirement from the stage: “I can’t leave now – I’ll work.”
Gazmanov has previously stated on numerous occasions that the sanctions imposed on him by the West do not bother him at all.
