New details have emerged in the case of the kidnapping of singer Avraam Russo.
One of the accused refused to admit his guilt.
The singer's lawyer, Andrei Aleshkin, shared this information with RIA Novosti journalists.
According to the human rights activist, a confrontation was held with the suspect, but Shestopalov did not agree to admit guilt.
It is noted that the defendant was arrested in early September. His lawyer insisted on house arrest, since the statute of limitations for the article he is charged with will soon expire.
The kidnapping of singer Avraam Russo occurred in 2004, when he began having problems with the owner of the Cherkizovsky market, Telman Ismailov.
The businessman lured the performer to his place, where he forcibly held him and beat the star. At the same time, he demanded that Russo conduct his pop activities on his terms.
Two years after these events, the singer's car was shot at in Moscow. His bodyguard was killed, and Russo himself was wounded in the thigh and underwent a long rehabilitation process.
