Actor from Mukhtar and Chernobyl Georgy Malyavsky Dies

Soviet and Belarusian actor Georgy Malyavsky has died.

The outstanding artist passed away suddenly at the age of 78 in Minsk.

The cause of the actor’s death has not been reported, Kino-Teatr.Ru wrote on August 31.

The film and theatre actor is known to the general public for numerous films and TV series, including Mukhtar and Chernobyl.

Georgy Malyavsky was born in Minsk in 1946.

After graduating from the acting department of the Belarusian Theatre and Art Institute in 1970, he began acting in films.

Malyavsky brilliantly played roles in the films "Hidden Work", "Family Detective", "State Border", "Mukhtar. New Trace", "Everyday Affairs", "Chernobyl" and others.

The place and time of farewell to Malyavsky will be announced later.
