Swedish group ABBA has learned that their music is being used illegally.
At events dedicated to Donald Trump's election campaign, videos of the band's compositions were shown.
As RIA Novosti learned from Frida Skoog, who is the head of the PR department of the Swedish division of Universal Music, the band members, together with the label, demanded that Trump stop the illegal use of music.
As Skoog emphasized, neither the media holding nor representatives of the ABBA group were approached for permission to use the group’s music.
In connection with this, they demanded that Trump remove the videos and not use the band's music in his election campaign.
It is noted that the Swedish group is not the only one whose music is being illegally used by a presidential candidate. Among those who have also found their tracks being illegally used are singers Celine Dion and Rihanna, as well as performers Bruce Springsteen and Neil Young.
