Scientists from Japan have developed a method for early detection of Alzheimer's disease using three simple questions.

It allows you to detect signs of the disease at an early stage, when treatment is most effective.

The study was published in the scientific journal Alzheimer's Research & Therapy .

During the experiment, the scientists asked patients three simple questions: “Is your daily life more difficult than before?”, “Tell me about your daily pleasures?”, and “What is the most noticeable recent news?”

According to team member Daisuke Ito, a professor on the project at Keio University, the method could facilitate early detection of patients with the disease.

Brain scans showed that people had a higher risk of developing dementia when they answered no to the first question, gave a specific answer to the second question and quoted old news stories.

Scientists also found that people who turned to their peers for help had a higher risk of developing Alzheimer's disease.

Japanese researchers say the three-question method is an important tool for early diagnosis of the disease and the initiation of effective treatment.
