Scientists conducted a study and found out which analysis allows for early assessment of the risks of developing cardiovascular pathologies.

According to experts, a blood test for C-reactive protein and two types of cholesterol helps predict the likelihood of a heart attack or stroke in the next 30 years of a person's life.

Experts came to this conclusion after analyzing data from 28,000 women (aged 55 and over), according to a scientific paper for the journal NEJM .

Scientists have concluded that 3 blood indicators are associated with the likelihood of cardiovascular diseases.

These are the inflammation marker C-reactive protein, low-density lipoprotein (LDL) and lipoprotein. The last two indicators are types of cholesterol.

For example, elevated LDL increases the risk of developing cardiovascular pathologies by 36%. High lipoprotein increases the risk by 33%, and C-reactive protein by 70%.

The worst thing is when all three indicators are elevated. In this situation, the risk of stroke is 1.5 times higher, and coronary heart disease is 3 times higher.
