It is believed that eating foods stored in such packaging increases the risk of developing breast cancer.

The scientists' laboratory received products that were purchased in the European Union and the United States.

The researchers found that the created and constantly updated list of potential carcinogens, as well as the requirements for packaging manufacturers, did not make food products safer for consumers.

There are still cases where products that do not meet standards are put on sale, the scientists concluded.
