The Russian President will address the issue of slowing down YouTube.
This was announced on Thursday, November 14, by Mosfilm General Director Karen Shakhnazarov.
On air on the Russia 1 TV channel, he stated that Vladimir Putin promised to deal with the slowdown in YouTube.
The director emphasized that slowing down the video service in the current reality does not seem very appropriate.
He added that even the Russian president had noticed this. Shakhnazarov shared his opinion with Putin and received the answer: "He listened and said: 'I'll figure it out, I'll take a look.'"
The director recently visited the Kremlin, where he spoke with the head of state.
They discussed Mosfilm’s participation in charity, including support for special operations fighters.
Shakhnazarov said that Putin is open to various topics. The head of state is ready to discuss various current issues.
At the same time, State Duma deputy Alexander Khinshtein previously stated that the YouTube administration does not comply with certain Russian laws, so the computer version of the video service will be slowed down by approximately 70% in Russia.
