Fraudsters have begun to deceive Russians using a new fraudulent scheme.

Details were revealed on the Moscow Prosecutor's Office Telegram channel.

But you don’t need to do this, because with the help of this application, scammers gain access to the victim’s phone.

The prosecutor's office told about a case that happened to a 65-year-old Russian woman.

The scammers told her that a parcel had allegedly arrived in her name. They offered to receive it remotely using a special program.

The woman installed the app on her phone and then began receiving calls from “police officers” and “bank employees.”

They convinced her that the scammers were trying to take out a large loan in her name.

The misled woman was persuaded to transfer all her savings to a "safe account." They convinced her to do the same with a loan that was issued in her name.

As a result, the Russian woman made several transfers and gave the criminals over 1.8 million rubles.
