The main developer of the Linux kernel, Greg Kroah-Hartman, has suspended 11 specialists linked to Russia.
He stressed that the employees used Russian postal services or worked with Russian organizations.
Kroa-Hartman explained his actions by sanctions, writes RBC .
He said he had removed Russians from the list of people working on the Linux kernel.
Kroa-Hartman added that in the future, specialists could be returned if they provide the necessary documents.
Linus Torvald, the creator of Linux, also responded to the situation, noting that the reasons for the changes are clear to everyone.
He recalled the sanctions against Russia, according to which US companies and individuals cannot provide IT consulting services to Russian organizations and citizens.
