Google has announced that it has found a way to make Android devices run better.
According to Google representatives, Android developers will have the opportunity to switch to 16-kilobyte page sizes.
Despite the fact that performance will improve, the device's RAM consumption will increase, as reported by the Android-Developers Blog portal.
Google reports: "RAM usage will increase by approximately 9 percent."
It is emphasized that the page size should be understood as the number of memory units that the device processor is able to manage simultaneously.
For Android-based gadgets, the specified parameter was 4 KB for a long time.
However, as Google representatives explained, the situation has improved today.
Newer Android processors are capable of supporting page sizes as small as 16 KB.
