Scientists have found that using headphones for more than four hours a day can seriously affect the brain.

Using headphones for more than four hours a day can irreversibly affect the brain.

The results of the study were published in the journal The Lancet .

The study involved 1,800 people aged 18 to 35. They filled out questionnaires about how often they listened to music on headphones and about their health.

It turned out that people who use headphones for more than four hours a day noted a decrease in concentration, anxiety and a deterioration in the quality of sleep.

Those who frequently wore headphones also had problems with memory and remembering information.

Scientists explain this by the fact that constant sound disrupts the brain's normal functioning. In some cases, such changes may be irreversible.

For reference
