Expert explains why Telegram video platform will be created
An expert commented on the news about the creation of a video platform based on Telegram.
According to the expert, this is not being done with the aim of competing with popular video hosting sites.
This opinion was expressed by leading analyst of Mobile Research Group Eldar Murtazin in a conversation with RIA Novosti journalists.
It is noted that the messenger's upgrade to a video platform was previously announced by its creator Pavel Durov.
According to the businessman, users will be able to quickly upload video files and independently adjust their quality, as well as attach videos to existing photos and messages.
As Murtazin noted, the main problem Telegram faces is the constant growth of traffic. That is why, in order to reduce it, the messenger's management is working on the convenience of working with video content for users.
At the same time, Telegram will not become a competitor to YouTube, VK, TikTok. The video platform announced by Durov will start working within a month based on an existing application.
