An expert explained which tips regarding charging smartphones are outdated.
Some recommendations that were previously considered useful can now only cause harm.
IT expert Daniil Lopatnikov shared his comments on this topic in a conversation with NEWS.ru.
New gadgets do not need to be discharged before switching off. This recommendation was relevant for older types of batteries, the specialist emphasized.
That is, this is not a myth, but a real fact, but it concerns nickel-cadmium and nickel-metal hydride batteries.
They had what was called a "memory effect" so they required several cycles from 0% to 100%.
Modern batteries wear out faster because of this, so the expert recommends forgetting about this advice.
It is better to put it on charge when the indicator reaches 20–30% and remove it at 80–90%.
It is also important to use the original charger.
This recommendation will help avoid overheating and other problems with the battery.
For reference
