A new, very strong flare has been registered on the Sun.

This happened after a week of relative "calm" on the surface of the Sun.

On Wednesday, November 6, astronomers recorded a flare of the highest X class, as reported on the website of the Solar Astronomy Laboratory of the Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

The Sun has been experiencing a decline in activity for a week. But on Wednesday it became high again.

Astronomers have determined the exact magnitude of this event – X2.4.

It is separately indicated that the explosion occurred approximately in the center of the solar disk.

This increases the likelihood that the plasma will reach Earth and cause a geomagnetic storm.

Scientists also noted that the Sun is currently experiencing a stable trend in activity, so the new flare fits into it.

But astronomers cannot yet say for sure whether this event will have any serious consequences for the inhabitants of Earth.
