What expressions indicate a person's lack of confidence?

Do you want to appear to others as a strong and strong-willed person?

Then throw these expressions out of your vocabulary!

"I will try my best"

Motivate yourself to bold accomplishments, set yourself non-standard goals. Just don't let others know about your plans too often! They don't need this demonstration, especially in such an uncertain form.

By saying the phrase "I'll try" out loud, you seem to be trying to convince yourself. In any case, to strangers you will definitely seem like a person who doubts his abilities.

Want to gain respect? Prove that you are capable of more? Then say: "I will not rest until I achieve my goal!" Then you will definitely be considered a self-confident person.

"My attempts are unlikely to be successful."

Are you plagued by doubts? Then don't throw words to the wind. Don't make empty promises. It's better not to take on a task at all than to retreat at the most crucial moment and disappoint the person.

Do you think you are not up to a specific action? Then do not give vague answers to your interlocutor, so as not to retreat later. Forget forever the meaning of these words: "I will try, but do not expect success from me." Do not be afraid to say "no." It is better to firmly refuse than to upset someone with your failure.

"I can't give a 100% promise"

Your sacred duty is to be responsible for every word you say. Break your back, but fulfill your promise at any cost! Are you not punctual and diligent? Then keep your mouth shut, even if you are plaintively asked for something. You and only you will bear responsibility in the future!

Are you a slow person by nature? Save your friends and acquaintances from uncertainty, do not make them wait for a long time. It is stupid to take on a difficult task and abandon it halfway. You will spend your own strength and time, but the person will still not be satisfied with the final result. He will count on you, and you will shamelessly let him down.

"I think"

When it seems you need to cross yourself! Are you mired in suspicions and doubts? Keep them to yourself, do not share such thoughts with others. They do not carry any semantic load.

As practice shows, insecure people doubt those around them. Are you one of these people? Know that your unclear statements will not please your interlocutors. They will think that you do not trust them, suspect them of something terrible.

Complex constructions in speech often turn out to be useless. Especially if they contain a certain shade of uncertainty. Such phrases complicate the interlocutors' relationships.

Don't want to fall out with your friends? Then don't torment them with your endless suspicions and doubts. Say more often: "I know for sure", "I have no doubts".

"This is not feasible"

Does this explanation seem exhaustive to you? Try to resort to more compelling arguments to convince your counterpart of your rightness. Don't forget: most people believe that everything is feasible. The main thing is to have the desire to make your wishes come true.

If you say something like this to someone with an opposite opinion, they will consider you an insecure person. This will not add points to you. And no one will be filled with sincere respect for you. As is known, a willing person looks for opportunities, an unwilling person makes up excuses.

"Maybe"

This word often functions as a connecting phrase. Use it carefully during a conversation.

Do not force your interlocutor to question the things and phenomena that you listed during the dialogue. This does not mean that you should refer to precise calculations and scientific evidence.

Just get rid of the ill-fated word “maybe” for a while, and everything will fall into place.

Are you not sure about the veracity of what you are talking about? Then do not raise topics that you do not understand well. First, fill in the gaps in your knowledge, and then have abstruse conversations!

Do you use this adverb in relation to yourself? For example:

- "Maybe I'll get a promotion";
- “Maybe I’ll go to the sea”;
- "Maybe I'll lose weight this year."

First, decide on your capabilities and desires, and then chat!

"It is necessary (necessary)"

If you write or say to your interlocutor the following: “We need to meet to resolve this issue” or “You need to submit the report on time” – then he will decide that you are a very fearful and shy person.

All warnings, orders and instructions should sound confident and firm from your lips. Cut out the words "must" and "necessary" if you want to be listened to. Otherwise, people will decide that you are dependent on them. A dependent person is always perceived as weak. And no one respects the weak!

Let others know that it is in their best interest to comply with your request. If they are negligent in their response to your request, they will find themselves in a difficult situation.
