Every person has at least once encountered a situation when certain events or facts instantly flew out of their head.
At the same time, remembering the necessary things can be very difficult again.
The head of the Cambridge University Memory Laboratory, Professor John Simons, suggested how to quickly remember what has been forgotten. The newspaper " Arguments and Facts " reports on this.
According to the researcher, you shouldn’t torment yourself with attempts to recall memories, as this only gets in the way.
According to the scientist, it is necessary to immediately be distracted by other thoughts or the surrounding environment.
Simons pointed out: "Trying to remember something forgotten only excites our nervous system. As a result, the brain becomes even more distracted, and the memory never returns."
According to the expert, information previously learned will eventually surface in memories, you just need to give yourself time.
The researcher emphasized: "Stop racking your brain trying to remember what you forgot and distract yourself with other things. The main thing is to relax."
