Psychologists have shared an interesting fact about the influence of voice pitch on a person’s social status.
It turns out that the voice can become a powerful weapon. And not only in the professional sphere, but also in the personal one.
A study on this topic was conducted by psychologists from the University of Pennsylvania.
They shared their detailed findings in a scientific paper published in the leading journal of the Association for Psychological Science (APS) , Psychological Science .
A recording of a woman's voice was taken and edited to create 6 different sounding variations, from low to high.
More than 3,000 study participants listened to the recordings. They were not told that the voice was altered to represent one woman.
Respondents found a lower voice more attractive when talking about long-term relationships.
Women with high voices were found to be more attractive for short-term relationships.
It should be noted that the pitch of the voice can be corrected with the help of exercises, so you can always turn it into a secret weapon.
