There are actually quite a few people who encounter abuse, or, to put it simply, violence, in their everyday lives.

Many people endure physical and psychological pressure for years, believing that the abuser can be re-educated.

We figure out whether patience will really be rewarded or whether it’s better to leave and keep the rest of your nerves in order.

Is it possible to re-educate an abuser?

There is no need to convince yourself that the abuser will put himself in your place and suddenly change. If he is not capable of empathy, then he will definitely not change.

You can learn to live with such a person if, in turn, you learn not to react to his provocations and resist manipulation. However, in this case, we are not talking about his re-education, but about your adaptation to the abuser.

The only option is to work together with a psychologist, which is only possible if the abusive partner himself sees the existence of the problem and wants to deal with it.
