A feeling of guilt can haunt a person even if his guilt is actually negligible.
And this feeling can become so all-consuming that it interferes with the normal quality of life as a result
Let's figure out how to stop blaming yourself for all the hardships and failures and cope with this gnawing feeling.
Don't try to suppress your guilt. Suppression doesn't lead to anything good, rather the opposite: trying to get rid of the gnawing feeling will only make things worse.
Sincerely ask for forgiveness from those you have wronged. It may be hard, but it will make you feel better. Better yet, back up your words with action and try to correct your mistake, for example, by compensating for the damage.
And finally, the most important thing is to try to forgive yourself. It is quite easy to find a scapegoat in yourself, but forgiving yourself is harder. Especially since the people you are guilty before could have forgiven you long ago.
