Psychologists have explained how online dating influences a couple’s future family life.

American researchers claim that there is a significant difference between lovers who met in real life and online.

The experts shared their findings in a paper published in Computers in Human Behavior.

Psychologists conducted a survey among more than 900 married people. About 50% of respondents met online - social networks or special services.

The experts asked the couples various questions: how their close friends rated their dating method, how long it took them to get closer, how satisfied they were with their marriage, and whether they wanted to get divorced.

Researchers noted that people who met the old-fashioned way were happier in marriage.

This is probably due to the fact that people with conservative views and active Internet users have different views on marriage.

But the study found another interesting fact: people who meet on social media and apps are more likely to form interracial couples.

Scientists suggest that online it is easier for people to overcome various stereotypes and quickly change their opinion on a particular issue.
