Zakharova Reveals What They Say Behind the Scenes of the UN About the US State Department
Maria Zakharova told what new characterization the US State Department was given at the UN.
A representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry shared a comment on her Telegram channel.
In the non-public sphere, the US State Department is spoken about in a negative light, Zakharova asserts.
“In the corridors of the UN, they are discussing that the US State Department has turned into a bureau for distributing ammunition, and American diplomacy has disqualified itself,” the diplomat shared.
On Saturday, September 28, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov delivered a speech at the 79th UN General Assembly in New York (USA).
From the UN podium, the head of Russian diplomacy declared the senselessness of war with a state that possesses a nuclear arsenal.
Lavrov's speech reportedly impressed many of those gathered, with a line of people reportedly forming to shake the Russian Foreign Minister's hand.
In addition, Lavrov held a number of bilateral meetings with representatives of other countries during his visit to New York.
Diplomats from China, Burkina Faso, Algeria, Brazil, Lebanon, Syria, Mali, Bolivia, and Morocco met with the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
