Zakharova named the most tragicomic feature of Durov's arrest
Maria Zakharova commented on the situation with the arrest of the founder of Telegram.
The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry named the most tragicomic thing she saw in the businessman’s arrest.
Zakharova gave her comment to journalists during the Eastern Economic Forum, RIA Novosti reports.
Let us recall that on August 24, Pavel Durov was arrested in France immediately after his private plane landed at Le Bourget airport.
The businessman is set to be charged with ten cybersecurity-related offenses and crimes.
As Zakharova emphasized, the most disgusting and tragicomic thing, in her opinion, is that the French authorities have been unable to explain their actions either to Russia or to the rest of the world community.
And all because, the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs believes, official Paris has already lost the ability to provide feedback to the French. The same applies to all democratic mechanisms that no longer operate in France.
