The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry responded to information about the “Russian trace” in the attempted coup in Armenia.
Maria Zakharova commented on Yerevan’s speculations in a humorous manner.
Journalists spoke with a representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the sidelines of the Eurasian Women's Forum
There they asked her what she thought about the information that the Investigative Committee of Armenia had recently voiced. In particular, that Russia had allegedly tried to organize a coup d'etat in the republic.
“I hope this is not the reason Comedy Club closed?” Zakharova said, answering a question from a journalist from News.ru.
Prior to this, Yerevan stated that the Russian Federation allegedly recruited residents of Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh to undergo military training and then participate in the violent seizure of power.
The training sessions were allegedly held in Rostov-on-Don, and the volunteers were promised 220 thousand rubles.
