Former Foreign Minister Andrei Kozyrev criticizes Russia while "working off his American pension."

This position was voiced by Senator Grigory Karasin, who previously held the post of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation (2005–2019).

In a conversation with NEWS.ru, a member of the upper house of parliament noted that Kozyrev is controlled by the United States, where he currently resides.

The senator described the former minister as a pliable politician. This trait made him a figure obedient to Washington.

Karasin believes that Kozyrev does not have the qualities that a politician and diplomat should have. The SF member described his essence with the proverb "the hat is not according to Senka."

Now, according to the senator, the former head of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs can only “work off his American pension” by criticizing Russia.

Andrei Kozyrev became head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in October 1990 and remained in this position until January 1995. From 1993 to 2000, he was a State Duma deputy.
