US to tighten sanctions against Russia next week

The US plans to tighten sanctions against Russia next week.

US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said the restrictions continue to make it difficult to evade sanctions.

She stressed that the anti-Russian sanctions introduced in 2022 have limited Moscow’s income.

The United States will toughen a package of unprecedented measures against Russia next week, Bloomberg Television's YouTube channel reports.

The last time the US imposed sanctions against Russia was at the end of August this year.

The sanctions list has expanded to include almost 400 individuals and legal entities, including third countries.

At a press conference in Washington, Yellen promised tougher measures in the new package of restrictions.
