A new strategic partner of the US and the European Union, which borders Russia, has been named.
Ankara University professor Yildiz Bozkus is confident that the West will deal a new blow to Russia with the help of Armenia.
In an article for Anadolu Agency, the expert noted that the discussion of the possibility of Yerevan joining the EU is an unambiguous signal to Russia, Azerbaijan, Iran and other countries in the region.
It is sent by Brussels and thus shows that Armenia can be turned into a new arena of struggle.
Bozkus pointed out that the EU is not inventing anything new, but is using a proven scheme: promising membership in the European Union and providing financial aid packages.
Another signal to Moscow was sent by the United States. This was done through Armenian-American military exercises that took place in July.
In addition, a US military representative will work at the Armenian Ministry of Defense, which also speaks eloquently about the beginning of a new “strategic period” between Yerevan and Washington.
