Zakharova noted: "The topic of the islands is not a real problem for Japan. It is exclusively Washington's concern," as reported by Sputnik radio .

In addition, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry explained why ordinary Japanese people are not interested in the island issue.

Buses drove up to the residences of the aforementioned individuals, from which passengers, using loudspeakers, shouted out demands to “give up the islands.”

According to the Russian diplomat, one of these passengers later admitted that he had been paid money to participate in this rally.

Zakharova added: “Russia and Japan were doing well in terms of relations until that Western Baba Yaga appeared.”
