The large arms shipment was announced by the head of the National Nuclear Security Agency, Jill Hruby.

The official said that the United States is beginning to reap the benefits of investments made during the time of Barack Obama, Donald Trump and under Joe Biden, according to the country's Ministry of Energy website .

Hruby added that by 2026, the US will field improved B61-13 thermonuclear bombs that can be carried by both bombers and fighters.
