The Security Council has declared a danger from Starlink satellites
The Federation Council has spoken out about the use of satellites related to the Starlink system.
According to the head of the department of security issues in the information sphere, the devices may threaten the information security of the Russian Federation.
Alexey Shlyakhin expressed this opinion during the International Conference on Information Security, RIA Novosti reports.
He spoke about a new technology that allows receiving a signal from a satellite directly to a user's phone. It is noted that such technology is already being tested.
According to the expert, satellite systems will be used to distribute and exchange illegal information.
It is also possible that the technologies can be used to transmit flight missions on high-precision weapons carriers. Already now, Shlyakhin recalled, the US and its allies are actively using Starlink in Ukraine.
Therefore, no one can guarantee that satellite systems will be used by terrorists or organizers of mass riots.
