Russian Ambassador to Seoul Georgy Zinoviev spoke about the unacceptability of attempts to threaten and blackmail Russia.
He explained that cooperation between Russia and the DPRK is not directed against third countries.
He also stressed that interaction between the countries contributes to strengthening peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula, TASS reports.
At a meeting with the First Deputy Foreign Minister of South Korea Kim Hong-gyun, Zinoviev emphasized the inadmissibility of attempts to threaten and blackmail the Russian Federation.
The Russian Ambassador also noted that Moscow will make efforts to ensure sustainable peace on the Korean Peninsula.
Kim Hong-gyun conveyed the country's position regarding Russian President Vladimir Putin's visit to Pyongyang and the Cooperation Agreement with the DPRK.
Seoul believes that this agreement undermines the country's security. In this regard, the provisions on arms supplies to third countries will be reviewed.
Russia has repeatedly emphasized that the new agreement with the DPRK does not pose a security threat to South Korea.
