The embassy strongly recommends that Russians follow the instructions of local authorities. All those wishing to return to the Russian Federation still have the opportunity to leave Lebanon.

The day before, the Israel Defense Forces attacked targets of the Shiite Hezbollah movement in Lebanon. One of the strikes was carried out on Beirut.

The Israeli IDF indicated that the country is conducting a preemptive operation.

Prior to this, a series of explosions of pagers and other communication devices belonging to Hezbollah members occurred in Lebanon.

The Russian diplomatic mission said it had no information about any Russian casualties in Lebanon.
