The press service of the President of Kyrgyzstan claims that statements by Tina Kandelaki and other public figures are causing discord in international relations.

Bishkek responded to the publication of a TV presenter on a Telegram channel regarding the demolition of an architectural monument – the Panfilov Division Museum.

The position of the country's authorities was voiced by the head of the presidential press service, Daiyrbek Orunbekov, writes the local publication Economist .

In his opinion, Kandelaki’s statement “creates discord” in relations between Russia and Kyrgyzstan.

As for the museum, the decision to demolish it was made based on a thorough analysis of the building’s condition.

During the inspection, a number of facts were revealed that indicate an unsatisfactory technical condition. Restoration was impossible.

This position was voiced by Bishkek in response to Kandelaki's statement. The TV presenter condemned the demolition of the building and pointed out that Kyrgyzstan is getting rid of its Soviet legacy.

She is sure that the emergency building could have been saved. But the museum was "taken away, spitting in the faces of the defenders."

According to Kandelaki, similar situations have already been observed in Ukraine, Kazakhstan, and Armenia. “It all starts like this – with an old museum,” the TV presenter stated.
