Leading analyst at Mobile Research Group Eldar Murtazin stated that the Telegram service may experience financial problems.
According to the expert, difficulties will arise due to the arrest of the founder of the messenger, Pavel Durov, in France.
Murtazin explained: "Durov attracted investments. Now that he is gone, losses may arise," as reported by the portal " Podyom ".
The analyst also noted that today there is already a decline in investment.
The expert added: “Telegram is currently expensive to maintain. It needs public valuations to stay afloat.”
The analyst also commented on whether the service would be able to attract funds without Durov’s direct involvement.
According to Murtazin, this process can be extremely complex.
In addition, as the expert emphasized, Telegram will not be sold, since Durov himself is against such actions.
