In Tbilisi, protesters are using pyrotechnics to fire at the republic's parliament.

The volleys fly towards the central windows on the building's façade.

The protesters' targets are not only windows, but also a metal fence, which they throw firecrackers at, RIA Novosti reports.

Despite the presence of a crowd of protesters, police continue to control the side entrances to the parliament.

Traffic along the adjacent part of Rustaveli Avenue appears to still be blocked.

Protests in Georgia

Protest unrest in Georgia broke out on October 26 after parliamentary elections were held and the ruling Georgian Dream party won.

A new round of escalation began after the authorities decided to suspend negotiations on Georgia's membership in the EU.

The protesters threw stones, pyrotechnics, and burning objects at the parliament building, which caused a fire.

Riot police dispersed opposition supporters and, as expected, used water cannons and tear gas.

Despite the authorities' actions, protests continue with renewed vigor.
