The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry assessed Washington's reaction to the results of the presidential elections in Iran.
Maria Zakharova expressed her opinion in her personal Telegram channel.
The diplomat noted that the United States gave its typical characterization of the Iranian elections on July 1: “Not free and unfair.”
Washington has concluded that the elections will not lead to fundamental changes in either Iran’s internal affairs or its foreign policy.
Today, according to Zakharova, American media took this “blank” and added to it their own thoughts about the elections in the country.
The Foreign Ministry representative studied these publications and ridiculed the US press, which after the recent debates cannot understand how they are managed by the “fairly and freely” elected Joe Biden.
Zakharova pointed out that the American media themselves assess the state of their president with the epithets “mentally unhealthy” and “fundamentally inadequate.”
She recommended that the United States sort out its own “election disaster” and then evaluate elections in other countries around the world.
Iran held a second round of elections on July 5. The candidate from the reformist coalition, Masoud Pezeshkian, won.
Meanwhile, Americans still have a choice to make. The US will elect a new leader on November 5.
Earlier it became known that Joe Biden's attending physician met with an expert on Parkinson's disease .
