Russians in Georgia have been advised to avoid large gatherings.

The Russian Interests Section at the Swiss Embassy in the Transcaucasian republic recommended that Russian citizens avoid places with large crowds of people.

The warning was issued in connection with the ongoing protests in the country following the results of the parliamentary elections, the Izvestia article emphasizes.

The diplomats stressed that the situation in Georgia is generally stable. Russian tourists are not in immediate danger.

However, Russians in the country are advised not to visit places of mass demonstrations and protests.
