The President of the National Research Center "Kurchatov Institute" spoke about the participation of Russian scientists in CERN projects.
The experts were offered to obtain international affiliation and continue cooperation with the organization.
Mikhail Kovalchuk made this statement in an interview with RIA Novosti journalists.
The head of the Kurchatov Institute noted that since the beginning of the special operation, the attitude towards Russian scientists has changed.
In particular, experts from Russia began to be gradually restricted and pushed out of joint projects with other scientists from CERN.
However, as a result, the European Organization for Nuclear Research offered Russian scientists cooperation on its own terms.
In particular, experts are offered to return to Russia and join the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research in Dubna part-time. Thus, scientists are offered to work under an international affiliation, not a Russian one.
Kovalchuk emphasized that this once again demonstrates the West's interest in specialists from Russia. He also noted that no one in the Russian Federation welcomes double standards and is not going to work in this way.
