The Russian Embassy in Norway has announced a reduction in its diplomatic staff.

At the request of the Norwegian side, only two diplomats will remain in the consular section.

According to the diplomatic mission, the reduction should be completed no later than October 17, 2024.

Despite the requirement, the embassy will continue to provide consular services without canceling citizens' applications.

However, as emphasized in the embassy’s Telegram channel, the capabilities of the consular department will be limited.

Changes may affect the organization of mobile consular receptions, individual home services for vulnerable groups of the population, and visiting hours.

The Embassy also recommends that citizens check the validity of their passports in advance.

Translation of documents into Russian and their notarization can be carried out in Russia.

The Russian Consulates General in Svalbard and Kirkenes will not hold receptions until further notice.
