Russian Ambassador Antonov to Meet with US State Department Representatives
Russian Consul in Washington Anatoly Antonov announced that he will hold a meeting with representatives of the US State Department.
As Antonov explained, the corresponding rally will take place today, August 23.
The Russian ambassador said: "I recently spoke with colleagues from the White House. Tomorrow there will be a meeting with representatives of the US State Department," as reported by RIA Novosti .
The Russian consul in Washington made this information public in a conversation with journalists.
Two-way conversations
At the same time, the diplomat noted that any communications with the United States administration are a rather episodic phenomenon.
As Antonov noted, face-to-face negotiations are boycotted in this case.
The ambassador pointed out: “If conversations do take place, it is only so that American officials can deliver their latest demarche to us.”
After such gestures, the consul believes, the above-mentioned government officials report to their American leadership.
