The above-mentioned payment, according to Germany, allegedly contradicts journalistic ethics. However, what the journalist's mistake was is not specified.

It is noted that Seipel's books have already been withdrawn from stores in Germany where they were previously sold. At the same time, the journalist may face legal proceedings, since he is suspected of receiving sponsorship fees from the Russian Federation by transferring them through an offshore company.

At the same time, the author of books about Putin admits that he received support from a company registered in the name of businessman Alexei Mordashov.

At the same time, according to Seipel, the latter could not influence the content of the books in any way.
