The head of state set a separate task for the government. The Cabinet of Ministers must provide the Ministry of Defense with funds to implement Decree No. 792.

The last time a decision was made to expand the Armed Forces was in December last year. At that time, the number of servicemen was 1.3 million, with a total of 2,209,130 people.

New threats

Last week, Putin commented on Western countries' intentions to approve the use of their weapons to strike deep into Russia.

The President emphasized that the adoption of such a decision would make the West a full-fledged participant in the conflict.

The Russian Federation will have to make decisions based on new threats, the head of state noted.
